Importance of CTAs on your website!

“Action goal” has to be clearly defined in any Business Website. How does your website guide your visitors to do business with you?

Some businesses want visitors to buy products online; some would want their visitors to leave their contact details to be contacted later; some would want to download contents and so on. To achieve these business goals the websites will have to direct the visitors’ attention to some button or hyperlinked texts that urge them to take an “action”. These are termed as “calls to action” or CTAs. Some common CTAs that we find on a website are “Get a free Quote” or “Buy Now” or “Add to Cart” or “Download”, “More”, “View”and so on.

It is important for all businesses to put these CTAs where they are noticed. For a visitor to click on these CTAs, he has to first find it. It is very common to find CTAs only on one or two pages on the website. The most common being the “Home” page and the “Contact” page. This is very unfortunate as these businesses miss out on a lot of opportunities to push their visitors thereby leading to a lot of lost business.

With the more and more people using the search engines, they hardly come to the “Home” page. The CTA put on the “Home” page would go un-noticed by the visitor and so would an opportunity to start a business relation. So, it makes a lot of business sense to place your CTAs all around your website. Make it impossible to miss. This can actually help you to interact with prospective customers.

Every page of your website. Your CTA should have a strong presence on every page of your website. You can add them in your page header or maybe even again in the page footer.

Your blog. This is your area. Make sure your blog page template prominently highlights your CTA so it displays on every post.
